Privacy Policy
A full account of what information Triplolo collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have — written in plain language, in complete detail.
Who we are, and what this policy covers.
This Privacy Policy explains how Triplolo ("Triplolo," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information when you visit triplolo.com, use our travel agency and app review tools, subscribe to our newsletter, or otherwise interact with our services (collectively, the "Site").
By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Site.
Information we collect.
We collect information in three broad categories: information you give us directly, information collected automatically, and information from third parties.
Information you provide directly
- Contact details you submit via email, such as your name and email address, when you reach out to support@triplolo.com.
- Newsletter sign-up information, limited to your email address.
- Any feedback, correction request, or correspondence content you choose to send us.
Information collected automatically
Information from third parties
If you arrive at Triplolo via a partner site, advertising network, or affiliate link, that referring party may pass along basic technical information such as a click ID or referral source, used to attribute traffic and measure campaign performance.
Cookies & tracking technologies.
We use cookies and similar technologies (such as pixels and local storage) to operate the Site, understand how it's used, and — where you've consented — personalize advertising. Our cookie banner uses Google's Consent Mode framework, meaning tags only fire at the level you've approved.
Strictly Necessary
Required for core site function — page navigation, security, remembering your cookie consent choice. These cannot be switched off.
Performance & Analytics
Help us understand which reviews and pages are useful, and where visitors run into friction, so we can improve the Site.
Advertising & Measurement
Used by our ad and affiliate partners to measure campaign performance and, where permitted, personalize the ads you see.
You can change your cookie preferences at any time using the cookie settings link in our site footer. Declining non-essential cookies will not block your access to reviews or content.
How we use your information.
- To operate, maintain, and improve the Site, including its reviews, comparisons, and search functionality.
- To respond to inquiries sent to support@triplolo.com and provide customer assistance.
- To send newsletter content you've opted into, and let you unsubscribe at any time.
- To measure aggregate site performance and understand which content is most useful to readers.
- To detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or abuse of the Site.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
Our legal basis for processing (GDPR).
If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases to process your information:
How we share information.
We do not sell your personal identity (name, email address) to data brokers. We do share limited information with the following categories of recipients:
- Service providers — hosting, email delivery, and analytics vendors who process data on our behalf, under contract.
- Advertising & affiliate partners — receive anonymized or pseudonymous usage and click data to measure campaign performance (see Section 07).
- Legal & safety — where required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Triplolo, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy's protections continuing to apply.
Advertising & affiliate partners.
Triplolo displays advertising and participates in affiliate programs with travel agencies and travel apps we review. When you click certain links, a tracking parameter may be attached so the partner can attribute the referral to Triplolo — this does not transmit your name or email address.
Some of our advertising is served or measured through third-party ad networks, which may set their own cookies subject to your consent choices and their own privacy policies.
How long we keep your information.
We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy — typically, newsletter subscriptions persist until you unsubscribe, and support correspondence is retained for a reasonable period to handle follow-ups. Aggregated analytics data may be retained longer since it no longer identifies you individually.
Your privacy rights.
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights over your personal information:
To exercise any of these rights, email support@triplolo.com with your request — we'll respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
Your choices & opt-outs.
- Adjust cookie preferences anytime via the cookie settings link in our footer.
- Unsubscribe from our newsletter using the link included in every email we send.
- Use your browser settings to block or delete cookies (this may affect site functionality).
- Opt out of interest-based advertising through your ad network's own preference tools, where offered.
Children's privacy.
Triplolo is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
International data transfers.
Triplolo's service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards — such as standard contractual clauses — to ensure your information receives an adequate level of protection wherever it is processed.
How we protect your information.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Links to other websites.
The Site contains links to travel agencies, apps, and other third-party websites we review. This Privacy Policy applies only to Triplolo — we encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party site before providing your information to it.
Do Not Track signals.
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. There is currently no accepted industry standard for how to respond to these signals, so Triplolo does not currently alter its data collection in response to them. You can still manage tracking through our cookie consent tool.
Changes to this policy.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. The "last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version. Material changes will be noted prominently on this page.
